Our family

Manuel's side of the family...July 2010

Our families are very close. Manuel’s family lives nearby. We frequently visit with them and have barbecues together. Manuel’s family looooooves to barbecue. Megan’s dad and stepmother live in Washington, and we see each other at least two or three times a year. We love spending time with both of Megan's parents. Megan’s mom lives nearby and she is a great, sweet grandmother to two grandkids Maura and Gabe. Megan is very close to her brother and sister. She has one sweet niece who is two years old. Manuel has a nephew who's 3. They both love Gabe and for some reason Gabe always laughs around them.  Our family is very supportive of our decision to adopt, and encourage us and give us the support that we need. They have already spoiled Gabe but we think he deserves it : )

In 2007 we bought our first home in the neighborhood where we’d been living for two years. We decided to stay here because it is such a great place to live. We are surrounded by kind neighbors. We live near three schools, three parks, and the church building we attend. We have enjoyed working on our home, though Megan is so picky, she knows it will always be a “work in progress.” We alternate speaking Spanish and English with each other. Megan is looking forward to being a stay-at-home mom when the opportunity comes.
